Live-in care
We know that a friendly and familiar face is essential with care. That’s why it’s important to us that you know and like the person who looks after you; after all that’s how we build lasting relationships. We can’t stress highly enough the benefits that consistent and robust care arrangements bring to the whole family. Our live-in care service allows you to continue to live an independent life, as far as practically possible, in your own in home, with a 24/7 care and support associate. If you have some specific health issues that mean you require extra support, Live-in Care provides a realistic and affordable full-time alternative to moving into a care home or nursing home.
The service is fully managed by us, so you do not have to assume the role of an employer. You will have peace of mind, knowing you will have a consistent team of competent care and support associates. We have appropriate contingency plans in place to cover your assigned care and support associate for holidays, leave or emergency family issue.
Mental Health Conditions
At Luminary Care the amount of care and support we provide depends on individual needs – from just a few hours of support per week to help with personal skills, building confidence and managing mental health needs on your pathway to independence, up to round-the-clock dedicated personal care and support. Together, we’ll build a care programme that is tailored to your needs. At every stage of your recovery we’ll help and support you as you regain your health, independence and confidence.

Caring for adults over 65 years
Domiciliary care, often known as home care, is offered to people who live in their own homes but require additional assistance with daily activities. A professional carer will come to your home to help you with everyday duties like light housework, personal care, food preparation and cooking, or any other activity that will allow you to preserve your independence and quality of life. Home care also allows a family caregiver who is caring for a loved one to take a much-needed break.
Dementia Care
Being diagnosed with dementia doesn’t mean you have to lose control of your life, or your independence. Many people continue to live fulfilled and happy lives for many years, even if adjustments are necessary. If a close member of your family suffers from dementia, it can be challenging trying to cope with work, family and care options.
Dementia sufferers may find that live-in care is a far better alternative to long-term residential care. With one-to-one bespoke support, clients will not need to leave familiar surroundings, or pets, will have 24-hour support and be assured that the carer has the skills needed to encourage independence, provide kindness and understanding and will do so in a dignified and professional manner.
Each person with dementia is a unique individual with their own individual experiences of life, their own needs and feelings, and their own likes and dislikes.

Physical Disabilities
We provide support to people living with all types of physical disability – whether temporary or lifelong, inherited or acquired. Our care is centred on you, your loved ones. We have many families that ask us for on-going care as this enables them to plan their breaks throughout the year in advance, often benefiting from the same carer each time.
All of the support we provide is completely personal to each individual. The level of support we provide is flexible from being there for just a few hours a week to 24-7.Our goal is to ensure that the people we support live happy, fulfilling lives, and consistently achieve positive outcomes related to their personal goals.
Caring for adults under 65 years
Caring for adults under 65 years involves providing support tailored to their unique needs, which may include physical, emotional, or social assistance. This group often includes individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, mental health conditions, or sensory impairments. Caregivers may focus on promoting independence by helping with daily activities, offering mobility assistance, or coordinating access to healthcare services. It’s equally important to address emotional well-being by fostering social connections and encouraging participation in community activities. By adopting a person-centered approach, caregivers can empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives while maintaining dignity and autonomy.

Sensory Impairments
At Luminary Care, our team understands the practical and emotional challenges that people with sensory loss can face in their everyday lives and we focus on promoting independence, wellbeing and accessibility. We aim to help people maintain independence and dignity in every aspect of their lives. We work with our Clients, their loved ones and relevant health care professionals to deliver a service which is perfectly tailored to their needs.
